			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p><strong>Changing the Landscape of Direct Selling by Utilizing the power of Social Media!</strong></p>
<p>What better way to get the word out for a new product then by having someone share it with you.  Regardless of the company or industry you have been involved, the strongest method of marketing is the &#8220;referral&#8221; &#8211; no matter what the product or service.  Personal recommendations are more powerful than reading it in a magazine, hearing it on the radio, or seeing it on TV.</p>
<p><strong>So how does this relate to the new phenomena of  &#8221;Social Media&#8221;?</strong></p>
<p>Until now, very little has been accomplished by using social networking to market products on sites like &#8220;Twitter™&#8221; and  &#8220;FACEBOOK™.&#8221;  Due to the nature and power of social networking sites like &#8220;FACEBOOK™,&#8221; you can easily assemble a network of &#8220;friends&#8221; that normally you would not have connection to or communicate with on a regular basis.  People that have not spoken with for many years can now connect and exchange information on anything &#8211; kids, family, old school friends and so on&#8230;;  keeping in-touch and actually participating through a variety of avenues.  This type of activity first started with Internet Chat Rooms, instant messaging, and email.  However, social networking has taken this activity to a whole new level.  The Internet and Email provided the mechanism for the connection, but chat rooms are now passe and email is a little too cumbersome to managed if you maintain a large circle of &#8220;friends, family, and acquaintances.&#8221;</p>
<p>It is this power to connect with people that provides the opportunity to build your &#8220;network of friends&#8221;.  This connectivity also yields the possibility to share your experiences in regards to products and services.</p>
<p>There are still many just discovering the potential that this can have.  Using the capability of social networking, your referral base can grow.  Even through the latest, &#8220;micro-blogging&#8221; sites like &#8220;TWITTER™&#8221; you can become a participant with &#8220;one tweet&#8221; (a short text message) that is will be seen by one to a thousand or more.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s take it one step further: What if you had access to an application that engages people with activities and these activities are posted to your friends and their friends’ pages on a social networking site&#8230;  This posting activity that will create more interest and participation in using the application and interest in the product.</p>
<p><strong>How would you like to take advantage of that? </strong></p>
<p>Just think of the possibility of linking the activity to the sale of a product that you will receive a share in the sale, and receive a commission on that sale even though you were not directly involved.</p>
